Welcome to Mulberry Childcare Centre

With a lifetime of experience in childcare Liz Leahy is opening her own crèche on Bride Street, Loughrea and is now taking bookings for babies, toddlers, preschool and afterschool.

Having successfully opened and managed childcare centres for the past 16 years including Nutgrove, Eastpoint Business Park and Churchtown in Dublin and the Marine Institute in Oranmore for the global childcare provider Bright Horizons Liz moved back to her native town of Loughrea.

Liz achieved the All Ireland Centre of Excellence Award (AICEA) on 3 occasions at different centres.

AICEA is a programme that encourages and supports childcare providers to ensure that the quality of provision in their centre is of an excellent standard.

Quality childcare positively influences children’s earliest experiences and therefore plays a vital role in their future development.

The centre provides care for children aged from 3 months to 12 years and offers the free preschool year (limited places), afterschool (pickup from local schools), part-time and Montessori.

Breakfast, morning snack, dinner and afternoon tea are provided and all food is cooked fresh using the best quality locally sourced ingredients.

Outdoor play is an integral part of our centre and we have a large outdoor play area which we will develop further next year to provide an environment which is so important for healthier, happier children.
